This weekend has just flown by!

Okay, a quick update on life.

Thursday was my hair day, when I chopped off a foot (!) of hair. I went to Grace Hair Salon here in the Pearl District, and I'm incredibly pleased with the entire experience. Megan did my hair, and I think she did an amazing job! Now I just have to figure out how exactly to style shorter hair. I have some cute headbands, so I'll probably be putting those to use more often now!

I also got my eyebrows done at Urban Waxx, which was definitely an adventure. I've never waxed anything before, but it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. Mindy was incredibly nice and we talked the entire time, so I almost didn't notice what she was doing. She said I had a wonderful head on my shoulders too, which I think was the biggest compliment I got all week. For some reason people tend to open up to hair stylists, manicurists, and waxers about personal things. I'm not sure why, but I know I've done it and I've heard many others do it too.

Yesterday we took a trip a few hours north to check out some Native American petroglyphs and pictographs at one of the state parks. It was a long day, but also pretty fun!

Along with it being Father's Day, today is also my Dad's birthday! Happy Birthday and Happy Father's Day, Dad! We drove up to Astoria to see the Scandanavian Midsummer Festival, and we had some delicious food. The drive was very scenic and we even checked out some house boats! I did my run down by the maritime museum which was a nice change of pace. It was really windy though, which made it a lot harder! I used Runkeeper on my new iPhone and I liked it a lot. It's nice to be able to see how far you've gone as well as your pace.

Tomorrow I start my summer class at PCC! I'm taking Foundations of Education online and hopefully it will all go well. I did almost half of my high school education online, as well as a few other college classes, so I'm used to the format. I'm really interested in the subject, so I think it will be great!

How has everyone else's weekend been? Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!

I love how quick and easy it is to do an eyebrow wax! Speaking of which, I need to schedule an appointment soon! :)
